Learn, Grow, Change

So I have stopped counting the days and I am on a roll, I have taken a break writing as I had a long weekend and the bad luck that is known as my life took over. The good news is, I am down a couple pounds and feeling good! Since I work in the financial world, I got Columbus day off and now today as I sit here I realized I should have taken today off to rest from my day off....

I did get some exercise in and it was great after my son tells me yesterday "This is the best day of my life" My 7 year old had school yesterday so when we went out for our normal drive to school I headed to our barn and he said Mama what are you doing? I said come on we are riding bikes to school. I should have taken a picture because his face was priceless and that is when I got "I love you so much Mama, this is the BEST day of my LIFE". So glad that this little gesture had that effect on him and I felt great too, nice crisp fall morning. I dropped him off and I took the long way back. All day I had his words ringing in my ears! When I ride down and pick him up from school we take the long way home and he asks if we can ride to the library on Tuesday night? Of course we can and it is just the motivation I need to get my chubby buns in gear!

I am seeing a Behaviorist to try to "unchain" my brain of the way I think and make myself a better person. Yesterday when I go see him he gives me a piece of paper that says STOP! I read this and to my amazement it makes since. Stop, breathe, smell, bring yourself back to the current moment. Today I have it posted on my desk to remind myself that the only thing that matter is the moment we are in now. Step one to a healthier living is underway and there is no turning back now.

As I told Megan this morning REMEMBER the day's blessings FORGET the day's troubles!
