Day three and I am in the groove now of watching what I eat and trying this whole new Healthy Lifestyle out. Now I am trying to decide how to incorporate some exercise into my chaotic life (besides the occasional bum shake). I guess it is time to dust the seat off the old cruising bike and start peddling, no excuses! This weekend will be full of fun fall activity so hopefully that will burn some extra calories!
Just a shout out to my brother Good Luck this weekend and give them hell! I love you more then life and let's get that 9ny into victory lane! To Jack take care of that #69, the Maverick will be riding with you and I am sure he will guide you to your first win of the season. My brother Hunter and his good friend Jack are starting to wrap up their racing season this weekend at Airborne. For those of you don't know, I am a track brat. I was born and raised at my family’s race tracks. As was my 17 year old brother, he has been racing since he was 7 years old (started out on asphalt with go-kart, then dirt with go-kart and travelled up and down the east coast racing his kart). Now at 17 he pilots a Dirt/Asphalt Modified and an ACT Late Model. He has mad skill and I am as proud of him as a big sister could be (As I always tell him I am proud of you know matter what you do). He has won numerous championships in everything he has driven. This year has been tough as we lost the Patriarch of our family and the founder of our racing legacy. So my brother has been running his modified in honor of our uncle and in true sportsmanship fashion he is sporting my uncle’s old number from when he raced. He was the pioneer of racing on the east coast and until the day he passed was 100% involved and committed to racing and family. So this weekend Jack (15yrs old) who usually drives a dirt modified #08 at Malta will be driving my brother's #69 modified for his second start on asphalt. Hunter will be driving his 9ny ACT asphalt late model. So remember we are not here for a long time but here for a good time, have fun and be safe. Love and Luck!
So now on a more serious note today I get to wear jeans to work as it is Lee National Denim Day (denimday.com). I just want to say to those we have lost, survived, still fighting and don't know yet. Early detection could save your life. You are someones HERO you might not even know it, but you are trust me! To those of you that are survivors and to those of you who are still fighting my admiration is endless.
To my friend Megan who I know is always waiting at the Finish Line of every Race I take on in life, I love you!
